Surgery clinics

We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using the Accurx service.

A wealth of services

Registered patients can access any of the following services:

  • Vaccinations (including the flu jab)
  • Stop smoking advice
  • Contraceptive advice (including emergency contraception)
  • Specialist diabetes clinics and heart health checks
  • Chronic disease management
  • Maternity services
  • Cervical screening
  • Drug and alcohol misuse management
  • Weight loss advice
  • Travel advice, please note we are not a yellow fever centre

Phlebotomy/blood taking

The blood clinic is now an appointment based service that runs Monday to Friday. To book an appointment please do so through www.swiftqueue.co.uk.

Because this service is not managed by the surgery we ask that if you have any questions you please contact admin@gpprimarychoice.co.uk.

Please note that you will not automatically be informed of your blood test results. If you have not heard from the surgery after 1 week, please contact us for your results.

Use our services your way

At Turner Road Surgery we understand that life is busy for everyone, and you want as many options as possible when you are accessing medical care. We provide telephone appointments, a free appointment reminder texting service, plus home visits (if you fulfil the criteria).

Find out more on our appointments page.
